Satellite Program

Our Private Satellite Program provides families the support of our full school community while maintaining the flexibility and adaptability that schooling your children at home has to offer.

Private Satellite students can enjoy optional days on campus, full library use, the choice to play on competitive sports teams from 5th-12th grade, and the ability to take high school classes on campus each semester. Students receive photo IDs and are featured in the yearbook alongside their respective class. Each student is invited to participate in all school functions, including but not limited to Sadies, Formal, yearly retreats, class field trips, and graduation ceremonies.

Not only do members of the Satellite Program get to take part in these traditional milestone events, but they also have the opportunity to attend family inclusive, program-specific field trips and events as well. These can include pool parties, trips to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, a talent showcase held in the school gymnasium, and more. Through this, your student can enjoy the best of both worlds - getting the one-on-one, individualized education that schooling at home provides while simultaneously providing them opportunities to socialize and learn with other children their age. In all we do, we strive to foster a loving community of Christian families to come alongside you and share in your journey.

Families in our satellite program can benefit from our legal and educational aid, monthly parent-coordinator meetings, our maintenance of student transcripts on-campus, annual standardized testing (including PSATs), and curriculum advice. It is our hope that through this, we can support a families’ choice to educate their children in a Christian home environment while providing a consistent means of accountability and support.

Additionally, our ACSI and WASC accreditation means that when your student graduates from high school, they will have earned a diploma that is accepted and acknowledged by all colleges and universities. The program fulfills all state requirements, meaning that you can spend less time jumping through legal hoops, and more time focusing on your child.

If you are interested in learning more about the program, please reach out to Private Satellite Program Coordinator. The coordinator can answer questions, provide more detailed information, give you an inside perspective on all aspects of the experience. The coordinator can email at SatelliteProgram@KingsChristian.org.
