Academics

Since 1979, Kings Christian School (KCS) has been “teaching the world of God in the light of the Word of God”. Our education system, built on biblical principles, is taught with a biblical worldview in mind.

High School

We are proud to offer this foundation in addition to a sound academic program that prepares students for their future academic and career choices. As result of this program, KCS students consistently score anywhere from 6 to 18 months ahead of the national average in language, math, and reading skills.

At KCS, it is our goal to train up the whole student; we desire to present an education that is academically vigorous as well as spiritually strong. This goal inspires everything we do. In 2015, we adopted the phrase “Education With an Uncommon Core”. Through our small class sizes, our unique programs (including Crusader Life classes as well as an emphasis on service) and creating supportive relationships between our faculty, students, and families, we believe our education is truly different, or in other words, uncommon.

To be common is the opposite of holiness. Leviticus 10:10 says, “so that you can distinguish between the holy and the common, between the unclean and the clean.” For many, the word “holy” or “holiness” is associated with memories of revival meetings, strict rules, or commitment to private prayer. As the author and pastor Francis Chan says, “Holy is the opposite of common; it is to be set apart.” At KCS we are striving to be holy – to be set apart from the common. The core of our identity is found in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The KCS mission statement says, “A commitment to a life of Christian excellence for the glory of God through salvation, calling, competency, and character!” We desire to follow Christ as His disciples seeking His guidance first in all that we do.

Therefore, when we say “Education with an Uncommon Core,” we are saying that at KCS, we seek to provide an education that is taught with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior at the core, with a desire to be holy, and to be lights to those who may not know Him.

Kings Christian School is an accredited member of The Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), and is also fully accredited through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
